Hi, I’m Natasha but I tend to go by ‘Tash’ and I am the owner of Tash’s Beauty Treatments. Before I begin telling you the story of how I got into Beauty, I would like to tell you that I had absolutely no idea that this would be something that I wanted to do. I don’t really know where the interest in beauty came from as my mum is the type of person to rip up a carpet in the house and take things carefully apart, using a hammer! All that i do know, is that i have always had an interest in beauty and beauty treatments, to the point where if i went to a salon to get my nails done I would end up watching what they were doing. I then thought that I would give my mums bank account a bit of a break by buying the Gel Varnish and equipment to do mums and my nails myself. I enjoyed it so much that I had a look into beauty therapy courses, so that I could do it as a side job as well as doing my apprenticeship in administration. However, due to personal circumstances and my health, the situation changed and beauty was now something that I was going to do full time. As a result of this, me and my family transformed what was the lounge, into a clean, bright, airy and hygenic salon space for me to carry out treatments. How lucky am I!? After obtaining insurance and all of the relevant things needed, the business was ready to get up and running. At first it was primarily family and friends who were coming to me for treatments, which was good but I wanted the business to grow more so after investing in some advertising materials, spending some time promoting on social media and getting the word out there during the lockdowns, I am glad to say that grow is exactly what the business did and is still doing. So, that’s how I got to where I am now but without my clients, I honestly dont know where I would be.
